The award winning Stokke Sleepi crib is gorgeous. It’s elegant, it’s simple and it’s so functional. And, judging by how well my little one sleeps in hers, it’s also very comfortable! We both love our Sleepi. I will stop gushing now and give you some facts … It starts as Sleepi Mini for your newborn which you can easily pull over to the edge of your bed as it’s on casters, perfect. As your baby grows, the Mini becomes a crib … and it keeps growing – into a full sized junior bed that provides your child with a bed at night and a sofa during the day. But it doesn’t stop there, Stokke Sleepi can also be transformed into two stylish bedroom chairs to extend the use and value of your crib beyond the infancy of your child! It’s available in five different colours – white, grey, natural, cherry & walnut. It’s not the cheapest crib on the market, but if you think about the longevity of the Sleepi it cancels out the extra cost. The Mini and Crib package costs just under £520 from Lullabys. I love it.

I am in love. This is pure genius. And I’m sure that anyone else out there with limited space will agree. Dutch designers Kapteinbolt has created a flexible workplace, called FLKS. It features a desk and chair that fold out from two hinged sheets. You just open the panels unfold the table and the chair and put the plug in for light. This design is characterized by simplicity, clarity, freedom and space.

Postcarden Living Garden Cards
Brilliant concept! Recently bought a birthday card from a Kid’s clothing and accessories store in Cape Town called Grow, and on the back of the card are instructions for planting the card to grow yourself a herb garden! The seeds are embedded in the paper - its brilliant. “You’ve said it with flowers, chocolates, poetry and — on many drunken occasions — your finger. Conventional methods of communication not cutting it anymore? Say it with Postcarden: the pop-up greeting card that transforms into a mini living garden.”

"Love the animals, love the plants, love everything. If you love everything, you will perceive the divine mystery in things. Once you perceive it, you will begin to comprehend it better every day. And you will come at last to love the whole world with an all-embracing love.
